Hello BG Choir Families ~
We have been very busy preparing for October!!!
1. Solo Auditions for our Fall Choral Showcase will take place on Wednesday, October 2 at 3:20pm in the Choir Room.
2. There will be an ILMEA rehearsal on Wednesday, October 2 from 4:00 - 6:00pm in the Choir Room to prepare for the ILMEA auditions.
3. ILMEA auditions for All-District/All-State Choir & Vocal Jazz will take place this Thursday, October 3 at Crystal Lake South HS. All members of Chamber Choir & By Popular Demand are required to audition. The audition is optional for members of Men's Chorale, Bel Canto & Inversion. Our audition time is 8:15pm. Students must arrive by 7:45pm and check in with Ms. Utley. Please see links below for details.

4. Our A Cappella ensemble Minor Renovation will be performing for the BGHS Homecoming Assembly on Friday, October 4 at 1:26pm.
5. Solo Auditions for The BGreatest Showman concert will take place on Tuesday, October 8 at 3:20pm in the Choir Room.
6. Our first Casino Night fundraiser is Sunday, October 13. You may sign up to help us out HERE.
7. On Monday, October 21, our Vocal Jazz Ensembles By Popular Demand & Inversion will welcome New York Voices singer, Kim Nazarian to the BGHS Choir Room. Kim will clinic with our singers from 6:00 - 9:00pm. This is a fantastic opportunity that we are so grateful for!
8. Our first concert of the 2019 - 2020 school year will take place on Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00pm in the BGHS Miller Theatre. Our first concert will feature all our choirs, soloists and the 7th & 8th grade choirs from Cooper and London Middle Schools. Our concert will also feature guest conductor Dr. Jeff Brown, Director of Vocal Music at Libertyville HS.
9. Our Cookie Dough & Mug orders will be delivered on Thursday, October 24. You may pick up your orders any time after 1:30pm in the Choir Room.
10. Our Vocal Jazz Ensembles By Popular Demand and Inversion will travel to Elmhurst College on Friday, October 25 to see the EC Vocal Jazz Ensemble Late Night Blues and the EC Jazz Band perform at Jazz in the Mill.
11. All A Cappella ensembles have a mandatory retreat on Saturday, October 26 from 9:00am - 6:00pm in the Choir Room.
12. Thursday, October 31, our Chamber Choir will travel to Carthage College to participate in the Annual Lakeside Choral Festival. We will perform and clinic with the choir faculty at Carthage College. We will depart BGHS at 10:15am and return at 7:15pm.
